#WomanCrushWednesday: Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, The Smart And Dynamic Actress

This Wednesday our focus will be on Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, the adorable actress. Omotola was born in Lagos on the 7th of February. She attended a couple of schools including; Chrisland School, oxford Children school, Command Secondary School.

She graduated from the Yaba College of Technology with a certificate in Estate Management.  She made her debut appearance in Nollywood in the movie; Venom of Justice which was directed by Reginald Ebere. In the same year, she also featured in the movie; Moral Inheritance. She received her first award in the year 1997 as the Best Actress in an English speaking movie and Best Actress Overall at the Moie Awards.In 2004, she received a Grand Achiever Award on behalf of the Global Excellence Recognition Awards. In 2005, she also received Africa Movie Academy Awards as the Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

8 years later, she was listed as part of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the world. In the same year, she also made her US television debut in ‘Hit the Floor’, she also spoke at the WISE-Summit in Doha, Qatar. in 2014, she was honoured by the Nigerian government as a member fo the order of the Federal Republic. In 2018, she received invitations alongside Femi Odugbemi to join the voting members at the Oscars.

In 2017, she starred in the Nollywood blockbuster; Alter Ego which received nominations for Best Picture and Best Actress at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

Omotola Jalade Ekende is nothing short of a shining star.
