Pochettino Fears Kane Is Out For The Season
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino fears the injury sustained by England captain, Harry Kane, during Tuesday Champions League’s victory over Manchester City could likely be season ending.
“It’s very, very sad. It’s going to be tough and we’re going to miss him — maybe for the rest of the season,” the Argentine told BT Sport.
Kane limped off after coming together with Fabian Delph in the second half.
He was helped off the pitch after he was unable to put any weight on his left foot. He also left the stadium on crutches.
Spurs didn’t miss him much after Son gave them a one-goal advantage going into the second leg in Manchester.
The injury is the 25-year-old’s fifth ankle injuries in just two-and-a-half years.
Kane also injured the ligaments in his ankle during Tottenham’s Premier League defeat against Manchester United on January 13.
Kane, who injured ligaments in his left ankle during Tottenham’s Premier League defeat against Manchester United on January 13, only returned in late February, after missing seven matches.
