Pochattino Blames His Players For Being ‘Arrogant’

Pochettino has given his assessment of his team’s poor second half display in their 2-1 loss against Southampton in the league.

Tottenham surrendered a first half lead in the second half to stretch their winless run in the top flight to four games.

“It is so difficult to understand the way we played the second half,” said Pochettino. “We showed a lack of hunger that you need to kill the game and if you want to be a contender, to fight for things, you cannot play like this. I am worried about the way we changed from the first half to the second half and the only reason for this is complacency and arrogance.”

Tottenham’s poor run means they risk going out of the top four, as a resurgent Manchester United and Arsenal are hitting at their heels.

Manchester United and Arsenal play each other tomorrow.
