R Kelly Under Criminal Investigation Following The #SurvivingRKelly Series

R Kelly is reportedly under criminal investigatin following the airing of the docuseries, Surviving RKelly.

According to various reports, the Fulton County District Attorney’s office have reached out to multiple women who the singer allegedly assaulted, including Joycelyn Savage, who he was alleged to have held hostage.

Savage has been living with the R Kelly for several years and is believed to have insider information about the singer, although her family believes she has been brainwashed by R Kelly and is not allowed from leaving the singer’s residence or even having unsupervised contact with the outside world. For now, she has denied being held against her will.

The investigation was launched after the broadcast of Surviving R Kelly – which is a six part series focusing on the singer’s alleged affairs with underage girls and subsequent sexual abuse.
Prosecutors in Chicago held a press conference on Tuesday urging victims to come forward. Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx said: “I should stress that it takes the courage to relive […] trauma by telling your story of sexual victimization, but we rely heavily on victim accounts and witness statements to prosecute cases involving sexual assault and domestic violence,”

They have also reached out to Asante McGee, a woman who allegedly escaped Kelly’s Georgia home. she was also targeted by the singer in a now deleted Facebook page called Surviving Lies.
