Lagos State Is The Third Worst City To Live In The World

Lagos is the third worst city to live in the world, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s 2018 ranking of the world’s most liveable cities.

The lists which assesses stability, healthcare, culture, environment, education and infrastructure in 140 cities around the world ranks Lagos only better than war-torn Syrian capital, Damascus and Dhaka in Bangladesh.

The recent list has Vienna as the World’s most liveable city in the world, taking the crown from Australian city, Melbourne, who enjoyed a seven year reign.

The top 10 on the list are:

1. Vienna, Austria
2. Melbourne, Australia
3. Osaka, Japan
4. Calgary, Canada
5. Sydney, Australia
6. Vancouver, Canada
7. (tie) Toronto, Canada
7. (tie) Tokyo, Japan
9. Copenhagen, Denmark
10: Adelaide, Australia

While global livability has increased from 74.8% to 75.7%, Lagos scored a measly 38.5% to rank in 138 out of the total 140.
