Seven facts about the Prince of Wales.

In celebration of the Prince Charles birthday, we will be sharing seven amazing facts you probably don’t know about him.

  1. He was the first royal baby born at the Buckingham Palace at 9: 14 pm on November 14 1948.

  2. He was 9 when he was officially given the title Prince of Wales.

  3. He wrote a book titled The Old Man of Lochnagar, based on stories he would tell his younger brothers, Princes Andrew and Edward.

  4. A frog was named after him In 2012,the newly discovered (and endangered) species of Ecuadorian tree frog was announced as the Hyloscirtus princecharlesi, or the Prince Charles stream tree-frog.

  5. He was the first royal heir to earn a university degree, a BA of Arts from Cambridge.

  6. He doesn’t eat lunch.

  7. He plays three instruments, cello, trumpet and piano.
