THESPIAN Family Theatre takes ITAN ‘The story’ to Ghana!

ITAN the Story is written and directed by Ayo Jaiyesimi, is a creative and entertaining medium to showcase generational diversity and the tension that this, and other forms of diversity issues cause in the society.

In a bid to create harmony in the community, young and old (and indeed everyone) needs to appreciate their differences and the view points of others. There should be a mutual understanding in order to create the  synergy and cultivate alliances that are catalysts  for change, development and communal peace.

On its part, taking another step towards building synergy and alliances, THESPIAN Family Theatre & Productions is partnering with the National Theatre of Ghana.

The National Theatre of Ghana, apart from being a unique Government sub-vented theatre space, has a three resident companies  in the area of Drama, Music and Dance and is also passionate about developing communal harmony through the performing arts. Together they take ITAN (the Story) to Ghana to feature in PANAFEST 2017 and a performance tour of Ghana.

ITAN – is about an old man and his grandson fighting for generational supremacy!  ‘Time’ personified as Asiko, steps into the feud and attempts reconciliation by taking them on a journey into the past and the future.

Will this erase the generational biases that they have? You’ve got to be at the Theatre to find out! Starring a host of Nigeria’s finest actors including Hafiz Oyetoro, Nissi George, Soibifaa Dokubo, Henry Arnold and a host of others.
