Who Is The World’s Most Overpaid Actor?
Forbes considers Johnny Depp’s last three major films and then deducts the “estimated production budget from the global box office for each film” to arrive at an estimation of each film’s “operating income.”

By dividing the total operating income for the three films by the actor’s estimated pay, the magazine arrives at a figure to quantify the studio’s return for their investment. For some, the results are less than flattering, and in 2016 – for the second year in a row – the actor who comes off worse in the calculations is Depp.
Following them, George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Mark Wahlberg, and – perhaps surprisingly after a great year – Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio all brought in less than ten dollars for each dollar that they were paid. Perhaps reflecting the argument that women are not paid enough in movie acting, the only woman on the list was Julia Roberts at number nine, who grossed $10.80 for each $1 that she was paid.
And oh! Not a single Nollywood act made the list
