#BETAWARDS2016 Everything about tonight’s BET Awards Ceremony

When are the awards?

Everything will kick off in Los Angeles tonight, Sunday June 26 at the Microsoft Theatre.

If you’re in the US you can catch the show at 8pm on BET.

The Corresponding Nigerian time is Monday, 27 June 2016, 03: 00 AM

Who’s presenting?

Black-ish stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross will be hosting for the second year in a row.

Gabrielle Union, Regina Hall and Taraji P. Henson are just some of the stars who will be handing out gongs during the night.

Performances

Usher, Future, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson are just some of the performers set to hit the stage tonight.

With Young Thug, Remy Ma and Bryson Tiller also expected to thrill the audience.

The nominees

Drake leads this year’s nominations with nine, while Rihanna and Beyonce follow with six each.

The Best Female R&B/Pop Artist will be one of the hardest fought categories of the night pitting Rihanna, Beyonce, Adele, Andra Day and K. Michelle against each other.

Over in the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist Chris Brown, The Weeknd and Tyrese will battle it out with Bryson Tiller and Jeremih for the honour. The Weeknd has pretty much been nominated at every award show this year – including the Oscars – so expect him to feature pretty high on the win list.

The Best Collaboration category is another spicy one. Nicki Minaj and Beyonce’s Flawless remix should be unbeatable, but with Rihanna and Drake’s Work and Big Sean Ft. Kanye West and John Legend’s One Man Can Change The World – you never know.
