Jokes Apart: PDP plans Nationwide Prayer Session for Buhari’s Quick Recovery

Yes, you heard me right, PDP is planning a Nation wide prayer session for President Buhari to recover quickly (but please don’t ask me if that is what they truly want #smiles)

This is coming after it was reported earlier in the week that PDP through their highest ranking political office holder in the country, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu organized a prayer session for the president.

Are we really growing in our democracy and personal politics or this is just a normal public show?

After weeks of denying the poor state of the President’s health, the Presidency on Sunday announced the 10 day vacation and trip by Buhari to the UK to treat an Ear infection.
Ekweremadu said “Before I proceed, let me quickly remind all of us that our President is presently not feeling well and has been flown abroad for treatment. So, I will like to invite you to rise, let us say one minute of prayer for his quick recovery”

However, Ekweremadu in the full spirit of a politician also used the avenue to inform Nigerians that their plight will change for the better when PDP returns to power in 2019.
He was quoted as saying “To the people of Nigeria, there is still hope. We sympathize with you, with what you are going through today. But with the PDP you are seeing today, there is hope for our country.

Did someone just smile???
It will be recalled that Buhari during his Presidential campaign promised to put an end to medical tourism when elected President. His recent trip has sparked accusations from the Medical practitioners who claim an ear infection is too little a reason to fly to London.
