Bomb Blast Hits Afghan Capital

A deadly bomb blast has hit the Afghan capital of Kabul after a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in a vehicle.

Afghan authorities have said several people were killed in the blast which occurred at the center of Kabul as residents reported hearing gunfire.

The spokesman of Afghanistan’s ministry of interior, Mr Sediqqi was quoted as saying. “The first blast was carried out by a suicide bomber in a car and possibly one or two bombers are still resisting,”

“The scene of the attack has been completely cordoned off by Afghan security forces.”

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast which took place on Tuesday morning and left dozens of people injured . The Taliban have threatened to launch other large scale attacks in Afghanistan as they continue a reign of terror which has lasted all year long.

Afghanistan has increasingly become the target of the Taliban with Tuesday’s suicide bomber detonating his explosive near the ministry of defence.
