Hijacked EgyptAir Plane Lands In Cyprus

A hijacked EgyptAir aircraft which was heading to Cairo from Alexandria has reportedly landed in Cyprus.

The details of the hijack are still unavailable but reports suggest a man on board the aircraft is armed. 

There has been no official statement from EgyptAir concerning the reported landing in Cyprus. The Airbus A320 aircraft is thought to have about 80 people on board.

Reports also indicate that the hijackers have released women and children off the aircraft.
