In March Adventure Time hits Africa by storm!

The Land of Ooo is back—and this time, Cartoon Network is delving into the complicated and mysterious past of one of Adventure Time’s most intriguing characters, Marceline the Vampire Queen. “Stakes,” an eight-part journey into the diary of Marceline the Vampire Queen, is the latest in a long line of must-sees from the prolific BAFTA and Emmy® Award-winning Adventure Time team. Viewers can sink their teeth into “Stakes” with first two episodes sneak peek on the Dstv Catch Up from the 5th of March. A special weekend event will broadcast the entire miniseries, with the four episodes airing on Saturday 19th of March and Sunday 20th of March.

Marceline the Vampire Queen wishes to be an undead, red-sucker no more, but can Princess Bubblegum concoct a cure? With talent Olivia Olson (Love Actually) voicing Marceline and Rebecca Sugar (creator of Steven Universe) joining the cast as Marceline’s mother, the miniseries promises to celebrate women’s day on the 8th of March on the DStv Catch up.

And there is more! New episodes from Season 6 will be launching on the 07th of March, and a special stop-motion episode “Bad Jubies” directed by Kirsten Lepore will offer viewers a chance to discover for the first time ever the flourishing world of Ooo through the medium of Stop Motion animation, with characters and backgrounds harboring brand new weight and textures.

A modern day fable, the Emmy® and BAFTA Award–winning animated series Adventure Time has become a global success since its premiere in 2010, attracting adult and kid viewers in their millions. Created by Pendleton Ward and produced by Cartoon Network Studios, season six is currently airing across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and season seven will premiere in the region this spring 2016.
