One time governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff has been named as the Acting National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His nomination comes on the heels of a court order ordering the former National Secretary, Uche Secondus to vacate his position.
Ali Modu Sheriff comes with a chequered history, having decamped from the APC to the PDP. At one point, he was alleged to be a sponsor of the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
PDP’s director of New Media, Deji Adeyanju confirmed the appointment today.
