North Korean Army Chief Executed On Charges Of Corruption

General Ri Yong-gil, chief of the North Korean Army’s general staff has been executed by the North Korean government.

Reports indicate that he was executed sometime last week following charges of “factionalism, misuse of authority and corruption”.

North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un has shown a readiness to do away with officials who are unfortunate enough to cross him.

There has been no official confirmation of the execution from North Korea’s secretive regime.
