#TECNOOwnTheStage: Meet the Top 4 Finalists of Season 1 Ahead of Weekend’s Finale

The top four contestants on “TecnoOwntheStage” Season 1 are Pascal, Nandy, Sikin and Shapeera. Learn everything you need to know about the remaining contestants ahead of the finale this weekend.


It’s hard to believe, but we’re already less than 72 hours away from the finale of Africa’s first karaoke competition scheduled to take place on the 7th of February, 2016 in Lagos.

For those who have been watching all season and those who are just catching up with “TecnoOwntheStage” now, here is a rundown of each remaining contestant to get you ready for the dramatic revelation of the winner of Africa’s first karaoke competition.

 

Pascal

Pascal whose full name is Pascalino Lpesino Lenguro has captured many hearts this season because of his passion for music. The Kenyan actor who names his biggest musical influence as John legend says that he started singing at the age of 6 when he would oftentimes sing for his mum. He says he is not in the competition for the money but to gain exposure. He hopes to use the prize money to open up a studio while his biggest dream is to sing on the world stage.

Nandy

The feisty Nandy who’s full name is Nande Charles Mfinanga was born into a musical family. The mother of the Tanzanian is a disc jockey and she has been into music for 5 years. Her biggest musical influence is Rihanna and she hopes to support her family and other upcoming artists with the grand prize money if she emerges winner. Her dream is to also become an international superstar.

Sikin

For Kenyan Sikin her love for music started from the womb when she would kick and listen to music her mother played. Sikin whose real name is Elizabeth has played the flute for the national youth orchestra of Kenya and is currently studying performing arts. She hopes to buy lots of musical instrument with the grand prize money to horn her skills better.

Shapeera

The last but not the least of the contestants is Shaapera. The 29-year-old teacher from Benue State, in Northern Nigeria is a multi talented singer, rapper and drummer who particularly enjoys playing the conga drum for her church choir. According to the dark beauty, her musical style is mostly influenced by Lauryn Hill, even though she enjoys listening to different genre of music. She believes that if she emerges winner, she would use the prize money to help her family and give her music career the much needed lift.

 


With the contestants on the final lap, only your votes can determine who among the four remaining contestants will emerge tops and walk away with the grand prize of $25,000, a recording contract and a brand new Tecno smart phone.
