Wayne Rooney Breaks Thiery Henry’s Goals Record

Manchester United’s legend, Wayne Rooney has hit a new barcleys premier league record as he  is now the league’s ‘highest number of goals scored by a player for a single club’ he achieved the new feat with his superb effort against Liverpool yesterday.

The resurgent Rooney who has dipped in form since the beginning of the season scored his 3rd goal in 4 days when his brace had earlier helped United to a 3-3 draw against Newcastle United on Wednesday.

Rooney went ahead of Thierry Henry’s record of 175 Premier League goals for a single club. He has scored five times in United’s four January fixtures and adding to his career total of 242 career goals for the Manchester club.
