Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari is one of the world leaders in attendance at the World Future Energy Summit holding in Abu Dhabi.
President spoke on the challenges of climate change and admitted that climate change is affecting Africa.
” In Nigeria, the drastic drying up of the Lake Chad to just about 10% of its original size, has negatively impacted on the livelihood of millions of people, and contributed in making the region a hot bed of insurgency.” He said
President Buhari ended by lauding the UAE’s contribution to fighting global warming.
The President and his delegation also met with the UN secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
