American Comedian has had a year riddled with allegations of sexual assault. Although the statute of limitations has passed on many of the cases, more than 20 women have come out this year to claim they were sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby.
One of the women is former Temple University employee, Andrea Constand, who alleged that Cosby drugged her and then fondled her in 2004.
Cosby has on his part, insisted he had consensual sexual intercourse with Andrea Constand.
Cosby faced his first formal charge two days ago as he was arraigned for “indecent sexual assault”, a felony charge which carries up to a 10 year sentence.
Bill Cosby’s lawyer has claimed that the charges against the comedian are “politically motivated”.
Monique Pressley said on “Good Morning America” “What we have is not the effectuation of justice. What we have is the fulfillment of a campaign promise,”
Although arrested on Wednesday, Cosby was released on $1 million bail.
