Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho was sacked yesterday following his worst ever managerial run.
Mourinho’s Chelsea had racked up nine defeats in the Premier league and straight losses to Bournemoth and Leceister sealed Mourinho’s fate.
Former Holland head coach, Gus Hiddink has been touted as the manager to take the stead following Mourinho’s sack.
Reports indicate that Hiddink will be appointed on a short term basis with an eye to hiring a managerial heavyweight next year.
Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelloti and Diego Simeone have all been linked with the Chelsea job.
Hiddink served as caretaker manager at Chelsea in 2009, leading the club to FA club glory.
Hiddink has not had the easiest of times, following his sack from Holland as a result of his failure to ensure qualification for the Euro 2016.
