Court Sacks PDP Acting Chairman Uche Secondus
A High Court sitting in Abuja yesterday has ruled that the acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, should vacate his position immediately.
The suit challenging Secondus’s position was brought before the court by Ahmed Gulak relying on the party’s zoning arrangement.
Justice Hussein Baba Yusuf ruled that the PDP’s zoing arrangement clearly stated it was the turn of the North East Zone. Uche Second us is from Rivers state.
Justice Baba Yusuf has ordered Secondus to vacate the position within 14 days.
The PDP, listed as defendants in the case, have disclosed that the judgment will be appealed.
