Cameron Tells Trump: The Whole Of Britain Is United Against You
DAVID CAMERON today told US presidential hopeful Donald Trump the whole of Britain is united against his bid to enter the White House.
The billionaire last week sparked international outrage as he called for all Muslims to be banned from entering America.
More than half-a-million Britons have since signed a petition calling on Trump to be blocked entry to the UK over his ‘unacceptable behaviour’ and ‘hate speech’.
Labour MP Tulip Siddiq today urged the Prime Minister to listen to calls for the business tycoon to be barred from coming to Britain.
During Prime Minister’s Questions, the Hampstead and Kilburn MP said: “In our country we have legislation that stops people from entering the country who are deemed not to be conducive to public good.
“Does the Prime Minister agree that the law should be applied equally to everyone or should we be making exceptions for billionaire politicians?”
But Mr Cameron ruled out backing a ban on Trump visiting the UK, as has been applied to other extremists.
Praising Britain as “one of the most successful multi-racial, multi-faith, multi-ethnic countries anywhere in the world”, he told the House of Commons: “I agree with her it is right we exclude people when they are going to radicalise or encourage extremism.”
“I happen to disagree with her on Donald Trump.”
