Brazilians March To Demand President’s Impeachment

Thousands of Brazilians marched in protest to demand the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff. A member of the legislature had opened impeachment proceeding against Rousseff.

President Rousseff’s government has been plagued with allegations of corruption as Brazil’s economy continues to plummet.

Eduardo Cunha, the speaker of the Lower House, has had his motion for impeachment temporarily suspended by the Supreme court.

The corruption scandal at state run oil company, Petrobas, has eroded confidence in Rousseff’s administration.
Protesters in Brasilia and Sao Paulo have called for her removal as over 40,000 people marched yesterday.
