A landslide in Myanmar at a jade mine claimed at least 90 lives as rescue operations continue.
Although the jade mines have been discarded by mining companies in the state of Kachin, a number of people live near the waste dumps.
Some people also scavenged at the jade mine, searching through the waste heap for traces of jade. The landslide took place in the early hours of this morning as many of the victims were thought to be asleep when the landslide occurred.
Many areare still thought to be missing as rescue operations continue in the village of Hpakant.
