Queen Confers Honor On Benedict Cumberbatch

39 year actor Benedict Cumberbatch is more than your cynical genius in “Sherlock” or the heartbroken protagonist in the production of “Hamlet”.

The outstanding actor has been conferred with the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) honor by the Queen of England for his services to the performing arts and to charity.

Cumberbatch has been involved in raising money and awareness for the Syrian refugees which many European leaders have been forced to sit up and take notice of. It’s an outstanding achievement for an actor who is not new to the spotlight after being nominated the Academy award for his brilliant portrayal of Alan Turing in “The Imitation Game”
