22 Migrants Drown Off Greek Island
At least 22 migrants have drowned in the latest incidence of sea mishaps as the migrant crisis continues across Europe. The migrants were attempting to reach Greece from Turkey, and most of the people who reportedly drowned were children.
138 people were rescued near the Greek Island of Kalymnos while three people are reportedly still missing. It is the second drowning this week, the first boat tragedy off Lesbos also claimed 16 lives.
Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras shortly after the tragedy occurred, berating the failure of European leaders to proffer sensible solutions to the problem. He insisted that the Europe leaders were instead trying to shift the responsibility to each other.
