Apple Ordered To Pay $234 Million In Damages
Apple has been ordered to pay a compensation of $234 million to the University of Wisconsin Alumni research foundation.
The court ruled that Apple had infringed microchip patents by incorporating the patented chips into their iPhone and iPad devices.
The University of Wisconsin sought $862 in compensation but the judge only awarded $234 million after ruling that Apple did not willfully infringe the patent.
Apple has appealed the verdict.
