Good taste, great style and pure refinement were on display last Friday, as Chivas Regal, the world’s first and finest luxury whisky, teamed up with Audu Maikori, music mogul and social crusader, in kicking off a series of experiential events tagged, ‘Taste of Luxury’, which showcases inspirational African entrepreneurs who bring conscientiousness and social responsibility to enterprise and success.
The strictly–by-invitation event had 40 of the city’s most eminent personalities, including Audi’s closest friends and allies from corporate and social Nigeria, to an intimate evening of dinner and celebrations. MI, Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz, and Victoria Kimani, some of Audu’s closest pals from his music label, joined Audu, as he doubly celebrated his 40th birthday.
Following dinner, guests were ushered into a sky lit poolside, where a string quartet serenaded the guests in an open-air party. Audu’s close friend and colleague, MI, joined in entertaining the guests in his role as compeer, taking the chance to ‘roast’ in-freestyle. Formalities were brought to a close with the presentation of a Chivas Regal gift to Audu.
