Libya’s PM To Step Down
In a surprise development this morning, Libya’s Prime Minister has announced his planned resignation in an interview held today.
Abdullah al-Thinni’s decision is presumably based on criticism of his government and as he announced, “I officially resign and I will submit my resignation to the House of Representatives on Sunday,”
However, his resignation is not official and he’s yet to submit his resignation to the House of Representatives. Libya has two administrations, with a rival administration holding sway in Tripoli and Abdullah al-Thinni left to control the country’s Eastern region.
