ISIL Affiliate Beheads Croatian Hostage

According to reports, the Egyptian affiliate of The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has published a photo of the beheading of a Croatian hostage.

The group had earlier threatened to kill the hostage last week, al Jazeera reports and the picture carries the caption “killing of the Croatian hostage, due to his country’s participation in the war against Islamic State, after the deadline expired”.

The Croatian hostage was shown in a video and identified as Tomislav Salopek last week and the photo of his beheading was released on Twitter today.
