Buhari Restructures NNPC, Trims Staff

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has trimmed its staff strength from 122 to 83 following a directive from the President.

The managing directors of the subsidiaries of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation have been fired and 38 top management staff of the firm have also been retired.

Four new directorates have also been created for the firm which are; Exploration and Production, Finance and Services, Refining and Technology, and Commercial and Investment. This new move sees the downsizing of executive positions from eight to four and the trimming of top management staff from 122 to 83.
