Dr. Dre released his third and first album in 16 years under the banner of a ‘Straight Outta Compton’ soundtrack. Everyone on social media now has their picture with the caption ‘Straight Outta Compton” the idea is representing your hood / city or town. If you are not a music lover, you won’t really understand what the campaign is all about.
You can be from anywhere all you need to do is rep your hood. Back to the name / campaign ‘Straight Outta Compton” album – Compton was the American dream and eventually recounting how its middle-class promise tipped into violence and crime, citing statistics and an eventually overpowering sense of dread. Dr. Dre, of course, achieved the American dream fame, fortune, an executive suite in one of the world’s leading companies by describing the curdling of that dream in exacting detail with his fellow firebrands.
Compton depicts the rise and fall of Dr. Dre’s former hip hop group, N.W.A. His former N.W.A member Ice Cube , Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem.
This will be Dr. Dre’s first release since 1999’s “The Chronic 2001,” which went sextuple platinum. Dr. Dre revealed on his show that he scrapped his follow-up effort, “Detox,” after years of work. “It just wasn’t good,” he said.
