Jonathan’s Aides To Face Probe
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has sprung to life in recent months after almost four months of inactivity. Already, former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido as well as former Adamawa state Governor are in court facing charges of money laundering.
The anti-corruption agency is set to get busier from all indications. The President of Nigeria is in the United states trying to recover a reported $150 billion in looted funds in foreign accounts.
Despite promises not to focus too much on the activities of the past administration, it is clear President Buhari has changed his mind. Already the former national security adviser is under investigation and sources say the EFCC is set to invite former ministers and officials who served in the Jonathan administration.
Ex Chief Security Officer Mr. Obuah is also in custody of the DSS, facing allegations of oil bunkering.
