Maki Oh is the first African Designer the actress has worn at an event. Founded by Amaka Osakwe, the eponymous fashion label is internationally known for its strong sense of individuality and African identity; its ability to create alluring conversational pieces that fuse traditional techniques with detailed construction. Maki Oh’s increasing creative success continues to earn the brand a star-studded cast of fans and startling reviews both in Nigeria and on the international fashion scene.
The brand’s panache for prints and its sass for strategic cuts have bestowed on it a global attribution with “emotion, intuition, sex and fashion”.
Maki Osakwe, the creative director of Maki Oh is a favourite amongst international high-profile figures including Mrs Michelle Obama, Solange Knowles, Lee Lee Sobieski, and Arden Wohl.
