Music Review: Nikki Laoye feat. XBlaze/ African Dance

Another beautiful rendition from Nikki and her producer brother, ‘African Dance’ is quite the imaginative effort.

Before now, the duo delivered ‘Your Number’, a helluva song with thumping bass effects, stellar jam through and through, with XBlaze’s inputs therein similar in parts of the thumping bass to Chopstix’ beat-making on Yung L’s “Red Rose” remix.

Since then, Nikki has busied herself with her music soul-mate –XBlaze– and as they serve us the all new “African Dance”, the creativity on it is all that really gets us buzzing. Original effort, the cut is similar as well to what XBlaize does on Your Number. There’s barely anything on this lyrically, the joint sounding like a freestyle of sorts, African Dance is a mishmash of the predominant dance steps that hold sway in our clime today. At least that’s what the lyrics say. There isn’t much to say about the cut really, a danceable one, Nikki reveals by the day an evolved style that gets us interested. This one is massive in terms of its rhythm and production.
