Fuji maestro, Pasuma performed at Star Music Trek, Ado Ekiti to the excitement and delight of teeming fans. The veteran musician’s sensational performance was preceeded by Dammy Krane who was described by the MC as the future of Fuji music.
Both artistes dressed in colour co-ordinated black outfits shared the stage bridging the gap between the old and new generation of fuji music as Pasuma joined Dammy Krane to perform ‘My Dear’ to eager fans.
Host, MC Laffup kept the energy at Melting Point Arena, Ado Ekiti at an all time high as he entertained the audience with dance moves from contemporary tracks spun by DJs Neptune and Tonny Blaise.
Multi talented music icon Sound Sultan also made his debut on Star Music Trek to the delight of his Ado Ekiti fans. Together with Naija Ninjas, he delivered an unforgettable live performance taking the audience back to his early days with songs like Jagbajantis and Area merging it with recent hits such as Orobo and Kokose.
He pleaded with Nigerians to stop the bombings so we could live in peace as a nation. Before performing Natural Something, he went on to tell the audience that a ‘maga isn’t a mugu’ but one who is investing into his girlfriend. He introduced himself as the P.R.O of the National Maga Association with a life-sized banner bearing images of superstar artistes, 2Face, DBanj, BasketMouth and the PSquare duo as other members of the association.
Black Diamond, Wande Coal thrilled fans with a plethora of his hit songs including You Bad, Kiss your hand, Bumper to Bumper, Sexcellency, Rotate and the recently released Baby Helloamong many others.
Headies 2014 Next Rated artiste, Sean Tizzle was in Santa Claus mode at Ado Ekiti as he gave out his wristwatch, neckpiece, belt, shoes and rings especially while performing ‘Take It’from his freshly released ‘The Journey’ album. He did not fail to perform fans favourite Sho Leeand Kilogbe. He took a selfie with his Ado Ekiti fans before leaving the stage.
Reminisce showed that he is the true ‘Alaga Ibile’ even in Ado Ekiti. In an exceptional performance, he led the audience through his timeless hits such as Kako bi chicken to songs from the latest Alaga Ibile album including Fantasi, Sunkere and Daddy.
Sure Boy, Mr May D was well received by fans as a fellow son of Ado Ekiti. He delivered a double show, performing Gat me high, So many Tins along with well-coordinated choreographed dance moves. He also gave away his eyeglasses to a lucky fan.
The first lady of Ekiti State, Her Excellency Erelu Bisi Fayemi did not miss the opportunity to witness some of Nigeria biggest stars in her state as she came out to watch the show.
The pre gig event held at the same venue on May 23 with excited consumers going home with Star gift items through a raffle draw. Sean Tizzle surprised guests when he came out to present the gifts to various winners.
Since March 29 2014,Star Music Trek has toured nine cities across Nsukka, Makurdi, Uyo, Umuahia, Orlu, Ekwulobia, Onitsha, Benin and Ado Ekiti bringing together thousands of fans across the country to watch scintillating live performances from many of Nigeria’s biggest artistes.
The tenth and grand finale Star Music Trek concert holds in Lagos on May 31, 2014 making its final stop in the exciting 10-week 10-city pan Nigerian tour.
