Fast & Furious 7 will be released in theaters on April 10 of 2015, Vin Dieselrevealed on Sunday night.
The actor made the announcement on Facebook, sharing a photo from the last scene he filmed with Paul Walker before the star’s tragic death.
“There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…,” Diesel wrote.
As for why the star broke the news on his social media account instead of through aUniversal press release, Diesel said, “He’d want you to know first…”
As Gossip Cop previously reported, the movie was in the midst of production when Walker shockingly died in a car crash last month.
The film, originally slated to be released in July 2014, was shut down indefinitely days later as the studio said it would discuss how to proceed.
Director James Wan later vowed to complete the movie, though it’s unclear how the plot will be affected.
