Since the release of the multiple-nominated movie, Unforgivable at the cinemas,the media has been buzzing as movie buffs all want to see the critically acclaimed movie, by Dayo Amusa.
Reports of unusual crowd indicate that the movie has been enjoying favorable media appraisals and huge patronage since its premiere at the Silverbird Galleria Ikeja, Lagos.
Apart from bringing an all-star cast under one roof;the movie has a buzz worthy story line exposing daily occurrences and upheavals encountered in most homes and marriages.
Speaking about the cinema release, Dayo Amusa, the lead actress and producer said, “I am grateful for the support of my fans, it is very encouraging to have fans who appreciate your work.For the fact that the movie is a mixed language (Yoruba and English),I am impressed at the level of success so far.I have been getting phone calls, messages on facebook and twitter appreciating the movie.Unforgivable has been topping box office sales in its first week of release. It is generating quite a huge media buzz, and the review in one week has been tremendous.”
The compelling movie tells the story of Dayo Amusa, who played the character of an ideal wife to Mike Ezuruonye. She was so engrossed with marital issues that she neglected her personal health which led to cancer.
On the other hand was Desmond Elliot who played the character of an adorable young peacemaker; who tried to win the heart of Dayo Amusa but she turned down his advances with the hope of changing her husband – a cause which cost her a lot and ultimately took her life.
The movie since its debut has gotten11 nominations and features an amazing cast which includes DayoAmusa, Mike Ezuruonye, Bukky Wright, Desmond Elliot, Fathia Balogun, Bidemi Kosoko, Bimbo Thomas, Iyabo Ojo, Niyi Johnson, Lawal Aisha, Titilayo Shobo amongst others, while it introduces new acts like Ibironke Ashaolu and Wale Alabi.
Unforgivable was directed by Desmond Elliot, produced by Dayo Amusa and distributed by Blue Pictures.
