Konga.com Wins “Online Retailer Of The Year” and “Best Emerging Brand Of The Year (Fastest Growing Brand)” at Marketing World Awards 2013.

It was a night of glitz, laughter and glamour as Nigeria’s Largest Online Mall, Konga.com won the award for the Online retailer of the year beating OLX, Dealdey and Jumia.



Konga.com has set the pace for other retailers and businesses in Nigeria this year with several innovative offerings and achievements.

According to the organizers of the award, Konga.com has set the mark for online retailing excellence in Nigeria taking several big steps that have endeared the brand to Nigerians this past year.

Konga is the most visited Ecommerce brand according to Alexa traffic rankings, and has the highest number of likes and followers on popular social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter

The event which took place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos was well attended by several brands and saw performances from star acts like Kcee of limpopo fame.

The ecommerce powerhouses also won the award for best emerging brand, beating brands like Techno and Gotv to the price.

Members of the Konga team received the awards with smiles dedicating the award to customers and staff of the brand.

Konga Beats Dealdey at The Ultimate Ecommerce Showdown.

It was a fun afternoon for staff and customers of Nigeria’s Largest Online Mall, Konga.com and Nigeria’s biggest daily deals site, Dealdey.com as football teams from both brands met on Saturday Nov 9, 2013 in a friendly match tagged “The Ultimate Ecommerce Showdown“..

The match came a few hours after Konga won the award for the Online retailer of the year beating OLX, Dealdey and Jumia.

The match which took place at Campos stadium was well attended by staff and customers of both brands.

Playing to crown the ultimate ecommerce platform, the opening exchanges were well contested by both teams but the first half saw Konga go ahead by one goal.

The second half saw Konga go on a scoring spree, getting five goals before Dealdey finally scored a consolation goal from a freekick.

Both teams came together for pictures with staff and customers and the Kong team was presented with a cup by the dealdey team.
