Samsung Week 2013 Celebration Kicks Off In Lagos
In reiteration of its commitment to providing customers with first-hand experience of its superior product and service offerings, Samsung Electronics Nigeria is bringing its Samsung Smart Africa Tour to Nigeria with the celebration of its inaugural Samsung Week in Lagos. The Smart Africa Tour is an interactive train travelling across key cities in Africa, giving consumers the opportunity to experience Samsung products with their families in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
The week-long Tour encompasses a series of activations scheduled to hold at Ikeja City Mall and The Palms Shopping Mall, Lekki, and culminates in an exhibition of Samsung’s latest technologies at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos on November 2, 2013.
Describing the initiative as an avenue for Samsung to provide its consumers and their families with the opportunity to experience its premium products in an exciting and entertaining environment, Managing Director of Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr. Brovo Kim, said that Samsung is dedicated to fulfilling its brand promise of inspiring the world and creating the future through its commitment to bringing new and meaningful innovations to the doorstep of Nigerians.
“Nigeria possesses a large, young and rapidly urbanising population. The region has a substantial group of young consumers who are receptive towards a new lifestyle, new brands and products. In line with this growth, we are listening to the market, building partnerships and reenergising our commitment to Africa and its people.
“Samsung’s commitment to Nigeria and indeed the African continent can be seen not only in initiatives such as this, but also through the comprehensive product lines that have been developed from the insights the company has into the African market – the Samsung Built for Africa range. This, coupled with an increased partner network and strengthened B2B and B2G relations, not to mention the company’s large social outreach across the Africa region, all assist in helping the company reach their goal of positively impacting 5 million lives by 2015,” Kim added.
In addition to providing consumers with the opportunity to interact with Samsung’s products, the exhibition to mark Samsung Week in Nigeria will also feature hourly lucky dips with prizes from Samsung’s range of premium products, karaoke competitions as well as entertainment for children. Registration for participation at the exhibition has already commenced on Samsung’s web and social media sites.
Samsung’s sales and help desk professionals will also be on hand to provide consumers with information on how to go about product repairs and the company’s service channels at the event.
“Samsung Smart Africa Tours, of which Lagos forms an integral part, is a key component for us – one that allows us to celebrate innovation and diversity. Driven by a relentless quest for new and exciting possibilities, to look and think beyond the norm, we continue to build credibility in the local market by demonstrating our commitment to the continent and our leadership in consumer electronics and mobile devices and hosting an initiative such as this allows us to do exactly that,” Kim concluded.
