Female Tourist Jumps From Hotel Balcony To Escape Sexual Assault in India
A British tourist traveling in Agra, India — home of the Taj Mahal — says she was forced to jump out her room’s window to safety after allegedly being trapped inside by the hotel’s owner.
According to police, Sachin Chauhan showed up at the woman’s room at the Agra Mahal Hotel around 3:45 a.m., and offered her a free hand massage, saying it was included in the rate. She said no, but he allegedly came back with a security guard and tried to enter the room. Understandably, the woman freaked out — and leapt out the window.
She’s OK, though she did suffer injuries to her legs; Chauhan has been arrested on molestation and harassment charges
