As the nation's capital, Abuja gets ready for the maiden edition of The Abuja Young Entrepreneurs Awards (AYEA), organised by Fusion Lifestyle Limited, in Partnership with The Connector Limited, which is set to take place on Friday the 20th of April at The Abuja International Conference Center from 6-10pm, the organisers have been working round the clock to ensure the event lives up to expectation.
The awards aim to recognize, motivate and celebrate young outstanding business owners in the FCT who have made distinguished themselves among their contemporaries. In all, there will be 11 categories of awards going out to outstanding individuals. Also, three other individuals will be honoured for outstanding entrepreneurial skills and philanthropy.
Described as a night of glamour and entertainment, the event will be hosted by Matilda Duncan of Rhythm FM and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu of Big Brother fame.
It will feature musical performances by top musicians like WizKid, Omawumi as well as upcoming Abuja artistes. There will also be comedy by popular comedienne Chigurl and Ajebo and a fashion show by the Fashion and Style nominees, Dzyn Couture, House of Farrah, Ms. Makor, Reedas and Serendipity.
Tickets are available for sale from various outlets in Abuja and cost 20,000(VIP), 5,000(Regular) and 2,500(student/Corper).
Speaking on the April 20 event, a key member of the team, Samiah Oyekan said ''there is so much excitement about this event, many youths have been looking forward to it, we want to assure them that it will be entertaining and fulfilling, that is why all hands are on deck. Since it's the maiden edition, expectations are high but we assure the public that the event will be one that many will remember for years to come. We implore people to purchase their tickets early to avoid the rush''.
The dress code chosen for the event is 'VERY CLASSY' and the event will be a proper dinner event.
