The Winter Wonderland party was held on Tuesday, December 18th 2012 at 10 Degrees Event Center, A2 Billingsway road, Oregun, Lagos, Nigeria. It was a red carpet event. The party provided children the opportunity to mingle and party with stars as well as Christmas characters from the UK. International singer, 2face Idibia enetertained the children with some of his well known hits and they sang along to his delight. From the UK, giant elves known as Fat Christmas elves on stilts, Living tables thrilled the children and left them with an unforgettable experience.
All the way from the North pole and down a chimney in Lagos, Santa Claus arrived in grand style to give away special gifts to children. The goody bag this year was amazing and valued at thousands of naira.
The Winter Wonderland theme complete with falling snow was created by Bukky Omorogbe of Effizy events and anchored by singer/entertainer Muyiwa Oshinuga aka Nomoreloss.
There were also amusement park rides, bouncy castles and series of activities. On the party, Efe Omorogbe, partner at Now Muzik said that the “Winter Wonderland Party” is a way of saying thank you to God for a fantastic year at Now Muzik and also to give children an experience at Christmas. Also, Deborah Ronke Apampa, (TV personality, CEO at BM EPIC MEDIA) expressed her excitement at the initiative saying, “It gives me a great sense of fulfilment to create excitement for children on this occasion.
I commend 2face Idibia and friends for their thoughtfulness and inclusion of children in their activities”. 2face and wife, Annie said the party met their expectations and they will love this to be an annual event for children. They called on corporate sponsors to lend their support to this brilliant initiative.
2face, Nomoreloss, Sound Sultan, Kween, Jodie, Chyrstal band and others also performed hit tracks and carols to the delight of children and parents. One of the highlight of the party was the performance by 11 year old saxophonist whose dexterity on the sax was awesome. He performed one of 2face’s tracks and got the audience yelling for more. There was enough to eat and drink as food vouchers were given to invitees on arrival.
At the Winter Wonderland Party, every child was accorded star treatment and positioned for photo opportunities with known TV/Radio personalities, Comedians, Actors, Musicians and other celebrities.
