Essence Festival was inaugurated in 2016 at Durban South Africa. This festival is a jam-packed interactive weekend of experiences that celebrates South African culture through entertainment, stimulating conversation, food, art, fashion and much more.
The weekend also places a specific focus on serving as a safe space for Black women to kick back and flourish.This occasion is a usually a big entertainment event featuring different successful people from different works of life coming together to interact, impact, promote culture and party. From Gospel musicians and preachers to secular musicians, business owners, business and career professionals as well.
Last year, Burna Boy, Estelle, Marjorie Harvey, Tina Knowles , Steve Harvey, Ne-yo were in attendance. Several stylish attendees flooded the streets during Essence Festival Durban.
Award-winning Gospel signing duo Mary Mary rocked the stage, Yolanda Adams another gospel artist thrilled the audience as well. President Jacob Zuma of South Africa was also in attendance.
