The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 26 and Tuesday, June 27, as public holiday to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, on Thursday in Abuja on behalf of the federal government. He urged all Muslims and Nigerians to shun hate speeches and pray for peace, unity and progress of the nation during the festive period.

He said that Nigerians need to join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari led-administration to build a peaceful, strong and united Nigeria as the government is determined to protect all lives and property of Nigerians.
