Chelsea star, John Mikel Obi who has been speculated to be joining French club, Marseille in January, has reacted to the news of his team-mate, Oscar, leaving the Stamford Bridge.
According to SkySports report, EPL clubside, Chelsea FC have agreed to sell Brazilian player, Oscar to Chinese club, Shanghai SIPG for a fee of around £60m when the transfer window opens at the start of January.
The midfielder’s manager at Shanghai will be former Chelsea boss, Andre Villas-Boas.
“Thank you @ChelseaFC for everything you’ve done for me!,” he wrote on Twitter.
The player who scored 38 goals in 203 appearances for Chelsea, added: “I’m very happy to sign to SIPG. This is an important day for me to join to my new family in China,” Oscar sai.
Meanwhile, among those who first reacted to the news on social media was Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, who is a team-mate of Oscar in Chelsea.
Mikel, who has also been speculated to be joining French club side, Marseille in January, tweeted, “Good luck in China @oscar8 … it’s been a pleasure my friend.”
