Unless you live under a rock, you know who Samuel L. Jackson is.
He has appeared in every film you like, and possibly every movie in the world, to be honest. He’s done Pulp Fiction (and plenty other Tarantino films), Star Wars, the Avengers franchise, Jurassic Park, Kingsman, Shaft… But there might be some things about him you still don’t know. Here at loaded we want to share with you the craziest facts about him :
-When Samuel was 19, he attended Martin Luther King Jr.’s funeral as an usher.
-In 1969, he was suspended for two years from Morehouse College, and also convicted of a second-degree felony, for (along with other students) holding members of the college board hostage in exchange for a school reform.
-Do you know how Samuel always says motherf**er? He started doing it to overcome a stuttering from his childhood.
-He is a vegetarian.
-Also worked as a camera stand-in for Bill Cosby in The Cosby Show.
-In the Star Wars prequels, Jackson insisted that his character, Mace Windu, have a purple lightsaber, something no other Jedi had.
-Empire Magazine named his character from Pulp Fiction, Jules Winnfield, as the second coolest of all time (behind Brad Pitt’s Tyler Durden from Fight Club).
-Samuel is an avid golfer. Whenever he films, he always makes sure that there is a golf course nearby where he can go and play when he wants.
-It wasn’t until Samuel was 46 that he became a worldwide star, with Pulp Fiction.
-For some reason, there are people who still mistake Samuel L. Jackson for Laurence Fishburne.
-He allowed Marvel to use his likeness for the character of Nick Fury in the Ultimate comics. A few years later, the man himself started playing Nick Fury in the popular films.
-Samuel has declared himself an Anglophile. He loves the UK and everything related to it.
-Back in school, he participated in the Model United Nations.
-Before deciding to become an actor, Samuel actually wanted to study to be a marine biologist. Didn’t stop him from getting eaten by a shark in Deep Blue Sea.
