Former NBA star, Lamar Odom is about to make his biggest stride yet in his recovery from a near fatal drug overdose. He’s reportedly about to be discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he’s spent the last two months recovering from a devastating accidental drug overdose to continue his recovery at an L.A. live-in rehabilitation facility where he will get ongoing care and therapy.
A source tells People magazine.”The plan is for him to move in the next few days,” the insider adds. “At the center, Lamar will continue to receive amazing therapy. He still has many challenges but is making progress. He is a fighter!”
Lamar, 36, is still unable to walk without assistance and still has speech and cognitive impairment, having problems with memory and putting thoughts together. He’s also still dealing with kidney damage suffered following his Oct. 13 overdose at a Nevada brothel. At the time he was given a 50/50 chance of survival and spent days in a coma.
