Reminisce’ Local Rappers featuring Olamide and Phyno is one of the best collaborative music effort outta naija in the year under review. The trio were the leading indigenous rapper in the country known for delivering their rap lines in their native language. The style that has garnered criticism from the English hardcore rappers and they took the opportunity to team up and put out their response. What a response it was as it triggered many comments.
Hold on – Joel Amadi ft 2Face Idibia: A soul lifting and inspiring song from Joel Amadi featuring his legendary look alike, 2Face Idibia. The two act teamed up to give a piece of advice to the populace on holding on for something and keeping the hustle tight. It was a slow song with clear messages. That was a nice collaborative effort from the duo.
Bad Girl Special Remix – Mr 2Kay featuring Cynthia Morgan and Seyi Shay: You can’t sing a song like Bad Girl Special without involving the girls that was why Mr 2Kay had a rethink and invited the ladies on its remix and alas it hit the target and consideration in this category. Cynthia and Seyi did justice to the remix as they demonstrated some bad girl stunts in the video.

Do the right thing – Cobhams Asuquo featuring BEZ: For the benefit of the few that loves good slow music and classy finishes Cobhams Asuquo’s ‘Do the Right Thing’ is a handy song to cater for their yearnings. We feel song like this are worth their nominations amidst the usual club banging dance hall music.
Sisi Praiz featuring Wizkid: Praiz’s Sisi featuring Starboy, Wizkid was a well-conceived tune to sing-praise that special girl. A bit different from the usual vulgar appraisal of the women folk, we feel it worth its consideration here.

It is a close one between Reminisce’ Local Rappers or Joel’s Hold on, but we will go for Reminisce because of the controversies that surrounded it and its acceptance on the streets.
