The first ever BET Experience Africa took place at The Dome, North gate, Johannesburg in South Africa on December 12, 2015. The event covered other activities like CAR DRIFTING, FASHION, MUSIC, FREE MAKE UP SESSION and CELEBRITY BASKETBALL GAME.
It was a successful event which showed Africa in a positive light to the rest of the world. Africans are known for not keeping to time but one of the major things that thrilled everyone who attended the BET Experience Africa concert was that the organizers kept to time. From the fashion show to local music acts who performed to the car drifting session, the genuis talk with Comedy Central, Comedy show and the basketball game.

Flavour of Africa treated fans to a live rendition of some of his biggest hits including Ololufe; Ada Ada; Shake; Nwa Baby (Ashwo remix) and many more. Never one to shy away from interacting with his audience, Flavour’s female fans were delighted when the star removed his shirt, as he rounded off with his final and most popular song to date.
East Africa’s biggest act, Diamond Platnumz, performed his hits songs which include; Number one, Nakata Kulewa and Nana (Sankoro).
AKA is known to be a controversial rapper in South Africa and he performed his diss song to Cassper Nyvoset – Composure on stage last night and the crowd sang along with him.
One of the highlight of the event is that each artiste that performed on stage connected to the crowd and some of the International artistes even had an America touch to their performance. Like Raphael Saadiq performed songs from Fela Anikulapo Kuti which made the crowd went wild.
